About

Hello! I’m Donna

Let me begin by telling you a little about myself.

I am a passionate coach dedicated to helping individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals. Based on the edge of the Cotswolds, I live with my clutter of cats, husband and a well-tended vegetable patch. I also practice in Loulé (Portugal) alongside Mente Psychotherapy which is run by my well-respected sister-in-law.

My journey into coaching began out of a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives having experienced the amazing effect of coaching for myself.  I’ve seen first-hand how transformative the right guidance and support can be and it’s a personal mission to provide this to all my clients.

My Experience

With over 20 years of experience working with global entities, SMEs, start-ups and charities, I realised that I get immense satisfaction from seeing people succeed and celebrating their successes. And this is what led me to honing my skills in coaching and mentoring with individuals, teams and businesses.  My work focuses on both professional development and personal growth. My approach is friendly and accepting as I believe in the power of genuine human connections to drive sustainable success.

I am dedicated to helping leaders navigate the complexities of today’s business world with confidence, empathy and strategic insight, fostering cultures that are resilient, inclusive and dynamic.

My work with young adults has significantly impacted their personal, academic and professional lives. I’m extremely aware that adolescence is a crucial period of development; positive coaching during this time can have a significant, long-lasting impact on a young person's life, helping them develop skills, confidence and resilience.

My Training

I made a decision at the outset to obtain the best professional coaching qualifications available, which turned out to be a pivotal decision in my journey as a coach. Whilst my passion for helping others and experience provided a strong foundation, I recognised the immense value of formal training in enhancing my effectiveness and credibility as a coach.

Professional coaching qualifications ensured that I gained a comprehensive understanding of coaching principles, techniques and ethical standards. It has provided me with structured learning and practical experience, equipping me with the tools necessary to support clients in a professional and impactful manner. As a bonus the journey towards certification connected me with a community of like-minded professionals. The interactions, mentorship and  continuous learning opportunities have been invaluable, fostering my growth and broadening my perspectives.

My extensive background in business strategy, organisational culture and HR is complemented by specialised training in counselling skills as well as transactional analysis and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).I firmly believe in the importance and awareness of continued professional development because the landscape of personal and professional growth is ever evolving and staying up to date with the latest methodologies, research and best practices is crucial for me to provide the highest quality support to my clients.

I am committed to lifelong learning and continually engage in various forms of professional development. This includes attending workshops, participating in advanced training programmes and seeking mentorship from my professional peer group. I stay informed through reading the latest industry literature and being an active member of professional coaching associations.
